13 Mar 2008 - salvage
After nearly a decade of working in the car industry it suddenly dawned on me that 90% of all the cars that I was selling had a history. The history I'm talking about here is not the "full service history" that you might be thinking but the tell tale signs such as over-spray on the windows, orange peel paintwork and mis-aligned panels to name but a few.
The bad news is that all of the cars that I'd been selling were HPI clear and were sold out of a legitamate garage with a very good reputation and had been in the Motor trade for 50 years.
Nearly every vehicle on the road has at some point or another sustained some form of injury ranging from the next door neighbours cat jumping on your pride and joy putting a nice dent in the bonnet and a couple of scratches down the wing, to that pesky kid who somehow manages to "accidently"put a scrape down one side of the car and remove a wing mirror whilst trying out his new bike! Both unfortunately ending in a trip down the local paintshop.
